It’s not a straight-forward build but I’m enjoying it. Such a nice aeroplane if a fiddly kit! One day I hope to get to the USAF Museum at Dayton, Ohio where there is an example similar to the one in the kit.

Undercarriage on. What a nightmare that was!

It’s a badly executed rendition of a bad kit, but it’s been decorating my classroom this week (we were doing Space in science).

Ready for Lincoln. It appears to be frowning: doesn’t look like that in real life.
Lovely colour scheme: even my wife says so!

Just a bit of touching up to do. For a 1983 kit it’s really nice to build and sturdy too.

Hoping to be ready for Lincoln in October.

The sliding door is on now. I glued it incrementally and the final gluing was held down with clamps. Good thing I put plenty of bracing inside the fuselage.
